KEYS, stands for Kindling Education Yielding Success, and this group consist of members from a community service group in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The motive behind their project was to fund raise for students from low income families in their school.
A total of six core activities were implemented, led by five project teams namely Charity Collection I & II (Newspaper collection at Boon Lay), Flea Market in Ngee Ann Poly, Lime Magazine Flea Market and Pioneer Secondary School, More ‘n’ More (Sales of clothes pegs), Photo Fund (Photo taking sessions for classes) and Alumni Collection (Cans collection & soliciting of sponsorship).
Mobilising more than 670 volunteers from their school and the alumni, the team raised $12,063.54 for Ngee Ann Polytechnic fund. At the end of their project, a Closing Ceremony Celebration was organised to appreciate all their volunteers and a video presentation on all the projects were showcased. About 500 students attended this event. |
