 Mrs Joyce Tang is a very special mentor to the team KEYS who was formed by students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She had to take charge of five different teams under KEYS doing six core activities. Mrs Tang proved to be a very responsible mentor, guiding the teams with patience and constantly provided them with advice on how they can improve the project to suit different needs and people.
More importantly, she stressed the importance of balancing the teams’ academic studies with their workload and was always very concern about them.
 She was very enthusiastic about the whole project, showing no signs of tiredness despite constantly making an effort to be present in all their meetings and events. As a lecturer in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, she also helped the team to inform the staff and students about KEYS upcoming events through email and websites.
On her own initiatives, she collected clothes from her friends for the team to sell at flea market. Her leading by example motivated the team to strive harder towards achieving their goals.
She was also not just a mentor to the team, but also a volunteer who was actively involved in their project. |
